Every season, Not Far From The Tree brings neighbours together to share the city’s abundance, picking and sharing fruit that would otherwise go to waste.

Every dollar you contribute will be instantly matched, meaning your support immediately helps grow a resilient, connected, and climate conscious urban orchard by funding these essential initiatives:

• Supporting fruit tree health: introducing new tree care tips and resources to help address the rise of tree disease due to climate change.
• Building community education: expanding workshops in fruit tree care and food preservation, and sharing new processing techniques and recipes with our volunteers, homeowners, and community partners.
• Improving the picking experience: refining our tools, communication, and coordination to make fruit picking smoother, safer, and more joyful for everyone involved.
• Recruiting new volunteers: growing our community so that every fruit tree in Toronto has a chance to be picked, shared, and not wasted, but celebrated.
