Cider Squad

Attention cider lovers everywhere!

Not Far From the Tree is looking for enthusiastic and apple-loving volunteers to be part of our Cider Squad. As a member of the Cider Squad, you will help us lead communal cider pressing at public parks, community events and farmer’s markets through the season, as well as at our Annual City Cider celebration on Sunday September 17th, 2017 at the Spadina House Museum. As part of the Cider Squad you will learn the magical ability to turn apples into delicious cider.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and enthusiastic
  • Eager to learn about all things cider
  • Comfortable talking and interacting with members of the community

Responsibilities:

  • Attend Cider Squad training
  • Join us at the Not Far From the tree table at community events, farmer’s markets and City Cider
  • Demonstrate and make cider using the cider press
  • Engage and have fun with the community!

  • Attending fun farmer’s markets and other events
  • Becoming trained in making delicious and fresh cider
  • A chance to build community and contribute to food security and environmental sustainability in your neighbourhood
